A month long popular Holiday Programme For Youth for Std.X appeared students from not only india but also from overseas.

HPY took its first step in 1987, after being conceptualized by late Dr. (Miss) Mehroo Bengalee (Ex-Trustee, BPP & Former Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai). From the original 80 pioneers that year, our numbers have swelled to over 200 today. Our participants come from all across India, and there have even been some who have crossed international borders to be with us.

We are extremely proud of the fact that many of our ex-participants are now successful doctors, engineers, lawyers, architects, film stars, models, teachers, the list is endless. But we are even prouder that they keep returning, to give back to the Programme that gave so much to them.

What we hope to achieve
Any organization goes through a lot of flux in its lifetime, and HPY is no different. While our goals do get modified as each new generation comes along, our basic aims have always been :

  1. To expose you to a choice of careers, thus enhancing your prospects and your knowledge.

  2. To help you understand and improve yourself through personality development workshops.

  3. To give you a chance to participate in intense, yet friendly competitions, which take you out of the school league and prepare you for college.

  4. To provide information on facets of our culture, religious tenets and rituals.

  5. To provide a meeting ground where youth from different sections of the community can converge, mingle and create links for the future.

  6. To engage you in various social service activities.

What you can expect
28 of the most memorable days you might ever have. Yes, seriously. Your typical day begins at 9.30 in the morning, and by the time everyone winds up with the various practices, sports and discussions, it’s close to 7.30 p.m. In this time, we pack in all the relevant career information you will need, through talks given by specialists from various fields. We add workshops on a variety of issues, often with luminaries from different fields. Mark off a few days for half day visits to educational and cultural centres. Add in regular social work, like meeting the aged and blood donation drives, throw in regular competitions like fashion shows, quizzes, cricket, debates, dramatics, football and many more than you can handle.

Sounds interesting enough?
