ISSUANCE OF DEATH CERTIFICATES

The Death Certificates are issued for the deceased who have been consigned to Doongerwadi Tower of Silence after 1961 upon payment of Rs. 20/- per duplicate certificate. An additional searching charges of Rs. 200/- is applicable. The duplicate certificates are issued only to the close relatives of the deceased. The Applicant is required to follow the underlaid steps:
- The Applicant has to approach Mrs. Sawant and Mr. Kalpesi from Monday to Friday between 11.00 a.m. to .1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. who will check their Adhaar Card or Pan Card to ascertain their identity which will help determine their relation with the deceased.
- If the Applicant is a close relative of the deceased then an Application Form is issued which can be filled on the spot and submitted without any other documents.
- Incomplete Form will not be accepted.
- The Duplicate Death Certificate is issued within 2 to 3 working days.
- Submission of Form does not mean automatic sanction or grant being made so requested.
