The Lady Hirabai Cowasji Jehangir Health Unit is an organization dedicated to caring for patients, particularly the elderly, who require post-operative support. In recent times, many elderly patients have become long-term residents, with a significant number being bedridden.

Located in Gamadia Colony, Tardeo, Mumbai, the Health Unit functions as a home for senior citizens, primarily serving individuals from lower-income backgrounds. It has a total capacity of 55 beds, accommodating 41 women and 14 men.

The facility ensures comprehensive medical care. MDs visit the patients regularly, with one doctor present daily to address routine medical needs. Additionally, a dedicated pathologist and a homeopath are available for specialized care.

The Health Unit is staffed with an adequate number of nurses, ayahs, and ward boys to provide attentive care. Fees are determined based on each patient’s financial capacity.

The office operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
